Our Kids’ Program
Our very first Kids’ Program was in 1984, and we have been doing it annually ever since! Each year, we host about 500 kids from preschool to kindergarten age from the local elementary schools. The program is dedicated to educating students about the importance of oral health and instilling healthy habits from a young age, while doing so in a fun and interactive environment.
We completely transform our office to match a popular movie for the year and our team even goes into costume, bringing the characters to life!
Here’s what one of our volunteers had to say.
“I am a kindergarten volunteer and have chaperoned students to many of the Village Dental of Milford programs. The children’s movie-themed events, complete with elaborate costumes, music, and skits are AMAZING. Your creative approach to take small groups into the exam rooms to demonstrate the cleaning and exam process holds their attention and calms many fears. I especially appreciate the extra options you provide for the sensory sensitive students. The teachers incorporate dental programs during that week to reinforce your presentation. The field trip to your office is a highlight of the year. You make learning dental hygiene simple, exciting, and fun!”
